Terry Fox Activity Day 2018

This entry was posted in Oakville Primary News.
Our annual Terry Fox Activity Day was a resounding success. Our students and faculty participated in an entertaining assembly, as well as a fulfilling their pledges during the walk-a-thon. The Casa classes presented stories they had written about Terry Fox’s life, his admirable example, and the importance of continuing his Marathon of Hope. And the Grade 1 class serenaded us with the ‘Terry Fox Song’!
The teachers were great sports as they completed their incentive challenges. It was great fun for the children to see their teachers participate in competitions and skits, and enjoy dancing alongside them at the end of the assembly.
A tremendous THANK YOU is extended to the Primary Campus families for helping us to raise OVER $8,500.00 for the Terry Fox Foundation! We are so proud of our students and their families for raising more than our original goal! Another sincere thank you goes to Mrs. Kuiperij, Mrs. Brown, and especially Ms. Simpson, for the planning and orchestration of this entire event. You did an incredible job!
We would also like to acknowledge our top three fundraisers and their parents for their generosity, as well as their commitment to raising funds for the Terry Fox Foundation:

1st –  Adam C. – Room 5
2nd – Ava J. – Room 1
Tied for 3rd –  Maya B. – Room 3 / Max W. – Room 1
