Decoding Dyslexia Presentation

This entry was posted in Oakville Elementary News, Rotherglen News.
On Monday, October 21, Rotherglen’s Meadowvale Elementary, Oakville Primary and Oakville Elementary campuses held a special dress down day in recognition of Dyslexia Awareness Month. Dyslexia is a learning designation that involves difficulty reading, due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how those sounds relate to letters and words (decoding).
As a result of our community’s generosity, $2,664.80 was raised for this very important cause. In the October assembly at the Oakville Elementary Campus, a cheque was presented to Ms. Riina Makk, a board member of Decoding Dyslexia Ontario. Thank you to everyone who supported this important event!
