Earth Day 2017

On Friday, April 21, Rotherglen held its first ever EarthPLAY Day, and it was an overwhelming success! Using recyclable materials, and their imaginations, students built race cars, spaceships and forts. They skipped, jumped, and played. They created obstacle courses, made musical instruments and enjoyed games like baseball and bowling. There was face painting, skipping and dancing. It was wonderful to see kids being kids, enjoying the outdoors and being involved in creative play. The day also highlighted a feeling of community as the Grade 7 leaders interacted with our younger students. Smiles and laughter filled the air!
