We welcomed students and families to the grade 5 Speech Showcase. The grade 7 Science Fair was a huge success. The library showcased various books and resources in honor of Black History Month. Finally, our U14 Boys and Girls Basketball teams represented our school at the PSAA tournaments.
#Rotherglen #newsatrotherglen #oakville #privateschool23 0Our Rotherglen School athletes have been busy representing the school in the various tournament in January. Our grade 4/5 Ball Hockey team participated in their first tournament, while the U12 Boys and Girls Basketball teams showed their amazing skills during their PSAA tournaments. We are very proud of all if our athletes and how you demonstrate teamwork and sportsmanship!
#Rotherglen #newsatrotherglen #oakville #privateschool32 0During Art class, the grade 7’s created their Black History Month Portraits. They did such a great job referencing the original images and paying close attention to all of the tints, tones and shades visible.
Burlington-based artist Joan Butterfield, a native of Bermuda, has captivated the imagination of local Grade 8 students with her distinctive “Distorted Realism” collection. Inspired by her African safari experiences. To honor Butterfield’s artistic contributions, the Grade 8 classes embarked on a collaborative art project. Guided by their teacher, Mrs. Birsa, students collectively selected one of Butterfield’s pieces from the “Distorted Realism” collection. Each student then meticulously enlarged a portion of the chosen artwork onto a 35cm by 50cm paper, employing a grid method to ensure accuracy. Through careful communication and coordination, the class members seamlessly pieced together their individual contributions, recreating the masterwork in a vibrant and unified whole.

Our winners this year are Abbygail Y in grade 3 and Reya C in grade 8!

Welcome: Oakville Elementary Campus
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Rotherglen School’s Oakville Elementary Campus. I invite you to take a few moments to explore our website, and learn more about our programming and the opportunities that make a Rotherglen education a unique experience for our students.
Rotherglen is a place where students are excited to learn. At each grade level, it is our goal to engage our students in the learning process, encourage their intellectual curiosity and guide them to reaching their full potential. We focus our efforts on the development of 21st Century Skills within the framework of the curriculum we deliver, teaching our students to be problem solvers, critical thinkers, strong communicators and collaborators. Our programming combines academics, arts, athletics, extra curricular activities, leadership and character building programs to address all aspects of our students’ growth and development. True to our vision of Engaged Minds, Inspired Hearts and Purposeful Lives, we are committed to preparing our students to be meaningful contributors to their global community.
Rotherglen School is what school should be — an engaging environment dedicated to learning and student enrichment. We encourage our students to be risk takers, and we are focused on helping each of our students become confident and compassionate individuals. We foster an inclusive learning environment that facilitates trust and encourages collaboration between teachers and students. We are a school that values and respects all members of our community.
One of our greatest resources at Rotherglen is our dedicated and highly qualified faculty. Our teachers are both leaders and mentors. They are committed to ongoing learning and are supported by the school in their professional development endeavours.
I am proud that Rotherglen is well known for its caring, family-oriented community. We view the relationship between home and school as a partnership, grounded in transparent, two-way communication. We have an open door policy at Rotherglen and we have put proactive and comprehensive systems in place to keep parents informed and involved throughout their child’s educational journey.
As informative as our website may be, seeing is believing. I encourage you to visit our campus and learn first hand why Rotherglen is what school should be and what we can offer your child.
Sincerely
Laura Crumb
