Give Respect Get Respect

Rotherglen School will once again join forces with The Halton Regional Police Service, Halton District School Board, Halton Catholic District School Board and other independent schools in Halton to recognize the profound importance of creating safe and inclusive communities.  The Give Respect – Get Respect Movement aims to spread the message of respect and healthy relationships, and invites all Halton community members to “Join the movement!”

Halton students in Grades 6-12 are challenged to develop creative arts-based public service messages that communicate the theme, ‘Give Respect, Get Respect’, promoting healthy relationships and inclusion to prevent bullying.  Rotherglen School has been instrumental in the development of this program and has had winning submissions for the last two years.

During November, we will also be introducing a Grade 7 and 8 Bully Prevention Committee to work with students in developing programs to further our goal of providing support to students who may have been bullied, those that have bullied and those who have witnessed bullying.
