Grade 1 – Science Workshop

The Grade 1 students enjoyed a workshop presented by Mrs. Wendy Stack of Scientists in School, called Kitchen Chemistry for Curious Kids.
The first experiment focused on what yeast needs to grow:
The second experiment focused on how to blow up a balloon by mixing a solid and a liquid:
The third experiment focused on making a surprise drink, which some of the students liked and some found too sour:
For the final experiment, the students made a very curious mixture….is it a solid or a liquid?:
