Grade 1 Students Learn About Chemistry

The Grade 1 students enjoyed a workshop called Kitchen Chemistry for Curious Kids. The children investigated what yeast needs to grow, as well as how to blow up a balloon by mixing a solid and a liquid. They learned how to make a surprise drink followed by how to make a mystery substance and tried to decide if they had made a liquid or a solid. It was a fun-filled morning of science experiments for all!
