Grade 2 Students Learn about Rocks and Minerals

The students in Grade 2 are excited to be learning about Rocks and Minerals. They were proud to share their rock collections and happy to have fun with rocks. They made Inuksuk, created designs with pebbles, and even made dinosaur fossils! They found so many ways to be creative with their discoveries and were able to incorporate their learning through their art as well. Igneous rocks form from magma and hot lava erupting from volcanoes.
