Grade 3 Visits the ROM
Students in Grade 3 had the pleasure of visiting the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). They had the opportunity to visit and focus on the entire second floor of the museum. The galleries they explored included the Mammals, Dinosaur, Birds, Biodiversity, and the Earth’s Treasures. They also had the opportunity to independently complete a dinosaur gallery scavenger hunt with partners.
Students also enjoyed a guided tour of the exhibits and artifacts. Students were excited to learn about one of the ROM’s most coveted and expensive galleries, the ‘Earth’s Treasures’. Here, students learned of the precious collection of rocks and minerals that are held at the ROM. Our tour guide also went on to highlight how the Indigenous cultures spoke of prehistoric times and beliefs in their artwork.
