Grade 6 – Up, Up, and Away!

The Grade 6 students completed their Flight unit by designing, creating, and testing a unique flying device. The students have learned about forces acting on flight, properties of air, aerodynamics, and Bernoulli’s Principle. This culminating task put all of that knowledge to the test. Students were creative in their designs. They followed the Design Cycle and worked with the Scientific Method to test their hypothesis. The final designs were built, tested, refined, and tested again. The students had a lot of fun with this challenge and came up with successful devices!
