On Friday, April 10, our school’s Chess Club travelled to Rotherglen’s Oakville Elementary Campus to take part in their annual Chess For Charity Tournament.
I am so proud of all 4 of our school’s teams. They all had a wonderful day playing against students from 11 different private schools. While each team tried their best, only the Junior Boys team advanced to the quarter finals after their morning of round robin play. Unfortunately, they lost in the quarter finals.
A special thank you is extended to Miss Golbeck for joining the Chess Club on our trip. I hope everyone had a fun day, and that you all keep practicing your chess for next year’s tournament!
