News from Casa Room 2

During the month of November, Room 2 students were enthusiastically learning about dinosaurs! We learned what it meant if dinosaurs were herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, and what shape their teeth would have been. We used classroom materials and our own bodies to visualize the length of some dinosaurs and determined that the majority of them would never be able to fit into our classroom or school. The class made special dough, which we then used to create our very own “fossils”.

In addition to learning about dinosaurs, we have been working to develop our best singing voices. The students have eagerly been practicing their songs and poems. Their excitement is evident, as they burst into song periodically during the day. We are very much looking forward to serenading our families at our Holiday Concert on Friday, December 7!

In December we will be learning about different holidays that are celebrated around the world. We will read many books about the celebrations and we look forward to learning about different cultures.
