What a busy month December was for Room 2! We were enthusiastically waiting for our big debut on the stage at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. All of our hard work paid off and we had a wonderful time singing for our families! We also spent the month learning about the many holidays that are celebrated around the world. We read stories about Hanukkah, Christmas, Eid, and Lunar New Year, to name a few. The children were eager to be able to discuss the Holidays they celebrated at home. To coincide with the Toys for Tots toy drive, we took some time to investigate what it means to be charitable. We happily brought in toys for children in need and discovered what our names would be if we were elves. These silly names brought a lot of joy to our classroom.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone back in January and hearing how all the students spent their vacations. To kick off the new year, the children will learn all about the Four Seasons and what makes each season unique.
