News from Casa Room 6

April has been an exciting, action-packed month for the children of Room 6! We have been busy as bees transforming our classroom into beautiful Cuba!! The children used their printing, reading and shading skills to prepare beautiful stories and printing work. They used their creativity to complete amazing crafts and their ability to recall many facts in order to impress all the parents!
Our International Day open house was a huge success! The children were full of excitement as their families came in for a visit. The children showed pride in all their hard work displayed in their classroom. We would like to thank all our families for taking the time to visit us on this very special day!
Room 6 students also learned how to plant seeds as we took part in our Earth Day celebrations. On April 20, the primary Campus was a sea of blue and green as we celebrated the Earth Day. Litter-less lunch in Room 6 was a big success. The children took charge of their lunches and made sure they only packed reusable containers in their lunch bags. We turned off the lights during our lunch hour and also discussed the importance of saving electricity.
We are looking forward to the spring weather, and learning lots of new lessons in the month of May.
