Bye-bye May…Here Comes Summer!!
As we look ahead to the summer months, we look back on the month of May and feel proud at all that we have accomplished in Room 7! For our monthly theme we studied the animal kingdom, specifically the Five Classifications of Animals. We have learned the defining characteristics of: mammal, reptiles, amphibians, fish and birds. We prepared a craft to let our moms know how much we care, and we had a visit from Monica and her friend, Jo-Jo the Bunny, from the Humane Society.
As we look forward to June, we are eager to participate in our Play Day and our ever so popular Fire Fighter visit! During this month we will also be talking about our Character Education trait of Gratitude, and Indigenous People, to coincide with Canada’s National Indigenous Peoples Day. We will be making a Father’s Day craft and our senior students will be preparing for their Graduation ceremony. What an exciting time in Room 7!!
