News From the Office
It is hard to believe there are only 4 weeks left in the 22-23 school year. We are making the most of the remaining days at school before we break for the summer!
Music was in the air this week as our Grade 1 students presented a musical showcase of “Blooming Sounds”. The Grade 1 parents were treated to several songs and a short musical play, under the guidance of their music teacher, Mrs. Mendoza. It was an ambitious program that integrated all music skills learned to date, and even incorporated more complex concepts such as harmony and timing. Thank you to Mrs. Mendoza for her creativity and hard work when planning this performance. We would also like to show our gratitude to Mrs. Vaivade for accompanying our students, and to Ms. Ben and the Grade 1 students for creating their headbands. Thank you to the Grade 1 parents for attending this performance and supporting our school events! See the photo gallery below to view our budding musicians.
Next week is a busy one! On Monday, students that are transferring to the Elementary Campus will take a short field trip there to have a tour. This will help with the process of transitioning to the “big school”. We also have our local firefighters coming for a visit to educate our students about fire safety and of course, to show the children the fire truck and how it works. On Friday, our Grade 1 students will have a CAT4 practice session to prepare for the testing the following week.
