Primary Fun Summer Camp News

Blast off! We were busy at Space Explorers primary camp this week! Campers created a puffy solar system display on cardstock, using white glue and shaving cream to achieve different textures. They crafted a colourful cardstock astronaut with their own face, and mixed up shimmery galaxy slime! Chamelea Science came to visit and led an Outer Space Explorer workshop on Monday. Our little scientists handled dry ice bubbles, experimented with the red sand from Mars, and designed UV bead rings, while navigating the planets.

Of course, the ice cream truck and water play were enjoyed by all on Wednesday. We finished our week with a Pizza Day lunch and a special viewing of The Magic School Bus Lost in Space, where an ordinary field trip to the planetarium ends with Ms Frizzle’s class lost in the asteroid belt!
