How To Apply

Admissions Overview

Step One: Virtual Open House

Please join us for one of our Virtual Open House sessions. It would be our pleasure to highlight what makes Rotherglen a unique community, and share with you the many opportunities that engage and inspire our Rotherglen Students.

Step Two: Application Process

Please click here to begin the admissions process on our Admissions portal. All interested
families must complete and submit the following documentation:

  • Application on our Admissions portal here
  • Report cards issued during the current academic year and the previous year
  • Confidential School Report completed by your child’s current teacher, located in the View Checklist tab in the Parent Portal
  • Copy of any IEP issued to the applicant (if applicable)
  • Any psycho-educational assessment, OT or SLP assessment (if applicable)
  • Study permit (if applicable)
  • Birth certificate or passport (copy)
  • Small photograph of your child

All forms must be submitted through our Admissions portal in order for the admissions package to be complete.

Step Three: Optional In-Person School Tour

Interested families are required to contact our Admissions Office to schedule a 30-minute tour of our campus.  Visitors 12 years of age and older will be required to provide Proof of Vaccination, (by one of Heath Canada’s approved vaccines administered at least 14 days prior to attending the tour), and valid government-issued photo identification.  All visitors will be required to pass the Government of Ontario CoVid-19 Screener for Childcare/School Settings and show confirmation prior to entering the school building.  All visitors must wear a mask (medical or 3 layer cotton) at all times while on school property.  In-person tour offerings are subject to change depending on Public Health directives.

Step Four: Interview and Entrance Assessment

Upon receipt of your application, you will be contacted to arrange a convenient time for your child to have an online interview with our Admissions team. Applicants will be interviewed with their parents.

Applicants (entering grade 1) will be required to complete an online academic assessment.  Assessments will cover grade level literacy and numeracy expectations. The assessment allows for our Admissions team to better understand your child as a learner and helps to ensure that Rotherglen is the right educational environment/fit.

Step Five: Communication

When a student’s application process is complete, our Admissions team will reach out with an Offer of Admission. If we are unable to offer your child a placement at this time, this will be communicated to you. Your child will be placed in a waiting pool, and you will be contacted if/when a position becomes available.

Step Six: Student Registration

Upon acceptance, parents will be required to submit the Registration Package and necessary tuition payments by the date indicated on the acceptance letter to secure placement.

Please refer to our Fees and Schedules page for payment options and further details.
