Remembrance Day Assembly

This entry was posted in Oakville Elementary News, Rotherglen News.
This past Thursday, we held our annual Remembrance Day assembly. This assembly provided a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community and demonstrate our respect for the many men and women who dedicated their lives to fight for the freedom that we enjoy today.
Our assembly began with the laying of the wreath by our Casa students, followed by presentations made by Grade 8 students, poems presented by our Grade 3 classes, musical performances from our Grade 1, 2/3, 4/5, and 6 choirs and Grade 7/8 Rock Band. We are very grateful to our guest speaker, Lt. Colonel Payne, a Rotherglen parent, for his special message to our students and staff.
