Rotherglen Supports the Arts

Here at Rotherglen, we have a fabulous music programme across all grades, with instruments for students to explore. Students in other areas may not have the same access. We believe that the arts are for everyone. We recently partnered with an organization called ArtsCan Circle to bring the arts to Indigenous youth and teens in northern communities.

Two weeks ago, Rotherglen donated guitars, stands, method books, and accessories to ArtsCan Circle. Some of this donation was sent immediately to Isuarsivik Regional Recovery Centre in Quebec for a brand new music therapy program. The rest of the donation will be shipped to communities in Northern Ontario.

With Rotherglen’s generosity, we are so pleased to be able to share the gift of music with Indigenous youth. A special thank you to Ms. Melissa Kinsinger for organizing this initiative and for connecting our school to such a influential organization.
