Rotherglen Team Places First at the Lighthouse 5K School Challenge!

Congratulations to our Rotherglen runners who placed first overall in the  Mercedes-Benz 5K School Challenge, held at Appleby College on Sunday, April 24! This widely attended charity run benefitted the Lighthouse for Grieving Children, an Oakville organization that has supported children and teens after the death of a loved one, since 1999. This was a very successful event, raising over $105,000 for programming and renovation at the Lighthouse for Grieving Children.

Rotherglen School had a great showing at this fun, family-oriented event. Parents, staff members and 11 students were involved in the run. The winner of the Elementary School Challenge was based on the average time of the school’s top three runners out of a total group of 284 participants!
