Visit from Little Ray’s Nature Centre

On Monday, our students welcomed a special visitor, Josh from Little Ray’s Nature Centre! They specialize in educating the public about animals and their natural histories. Little Ray’s Nature Centre is an exotic animal sanctuary and advocates for responsible pet ownership.

Students met a variety of “Little Creatures”, such as a blue-tongued skink named Slushi; Flapjack, a the very quick pancake tortoise; Slinky the ferret; an armadillo named Yoshi; Mayo, the bald python; Houdini, the short-tailed chinchilla; and a guinea pig called Brown Spice.

The children were taught about the characteristics that make each species unique; diet, habitat, adaptations, and personality traits.
