As a supplement to their regular curriculum this month, students in Grade 5 had the unique opportunity to participate in a virtual presentation from CBC Kids News. Students met a CBC Kids News journalist, discussed news stories currently in the media, and they learned about the steps required to produce a news story. In addition, they learned how to spot fake news, while focusing on the difference between misinformation and disinformation.
