R.E.A.C.H. Cereal Box Domino Challenge

This entry was posted in Oakville Elementary News, Rotherglen News.

On Wednesday, February 21, Rotherglen students were invited to donate a box of cereal to participate in this fun, philanthropic event. All collected cereal boxes (532) were donated to Kerr Street Mission, a charity that supports our local community.

The cereal boxes were lined up throughout the school’s hallways, and one by one, they fell like dominos much to the delight of the students who were there to witness the domino chain fall.

The Grade 8 Leaders worked very hard throughout their latest campaign. They created colourful posters, authored and recited daily announcements, organized the domino lines that snaked through the hallways, and stacked the truck that delivered the cereal boxes to those who need them the most.

The Grade 8s are congratulated on a job well done, and our school community is once again commended on its generosity. Our combined efforts influenced school culture, helped impact our local community, and left an indelible mark on the memories of our students. Teachers and administration are very proud of the leadership and community spirit that is on strong display!
